5. Depression
Depression is a common condition that’s diagnosed in thousands of people, and there are more causes for depression than you might think.
Sometimes it’s entirely chronic and clinical and people struggle with clinical depression throughout their entire lives; other times depression is something that’s due to genetic factors and some people are more susceptible to it than others due to their family history.
Depression can be a sign of taking the wrong medication, of having an underlying condition that needs to be treated and sometimes a sign that you’re dealing with too much stress on your plate at one time.
But sometimes depression can also accompany conditions of the gut. A long-term tapeworm infection can easily imbalance the healthy gut bacteria, which can lead to experiencing what feels like clinical depression in the long run.
There’s no doubt that you’re still experiencing depression in this case, but it might be a kind of depression that requires a different treatment in order to dissipate.
