6. Head Injuries
Bad habits and exposure to questionable elements aren’t the only causes that could increase the odds of brain aneurysms. The issue may be brought about by a direct physical blow to the head itself. This could be the result of a road accident, a fall on a construction site, or any other event that injures the head in some manner.
This kind of brain aneurysm is known as a dissecting aneurysm and may need surgery to prevent further enlargement or rupture. Head injuries should hence never be ignored. Screening should be planned as soon as possible after the accident takes place. This preventative measure can result in proper diagnosis and treatment before the situation turns life-threatening.
Screening after a concussion is also necessary. If a brain aneurysm is detected, it may just need to be monitored to ensure it isn’t growing at an alarming rate.
