4. Hydrate
When you have a sunburn it can often be difficult to get past the pain that you are feeling. At times you may even find that it is difficult to eat or drink anything as it is simply too much work. However, when you have sunburn it is easy to become dehydrated quite quickly. This is why it is important to make sure that you are drinking plenty of water while your skin is trying to heal. Since sunburn can actually cause dehydration, drinking water becomes even more important. In addition, drinking plenty of water will also help to cool down the body.
As you are drinking the body temperature will go down, which in turn will help with some of the pain that your sunburn may be causing. You should have a goal of drinking six to eight glasses of water each day to help maintain your hydration when you have a sunburn.
