2. Constipation
Constipation can cause abdominal pain and is a common problem for many people. Constipation is the inability to have regular bowel movements. The bowels may feel up and a person may have the urge to make a bowel movement but be unable to, or may not even feel like they need to use the bathroom.
There are many different things that can cause constipation including eating certain foods, certain medications, and certain health problems that can cause constipation. It’s normal to suffer from constipation occasionally, but many people suffer from chronic constipation. This can lead to numerous other health problems aside from just abdominal pain. If the waste cannot be removed from the body it may leak toxins back into the intestines and bloodstream.
It can also lead to feelings of fatigue, gas, and even weight gain. Chronic constipation is a sign that there is something not right in the body. Doctors may perform tests to determine the cause of constipation and choose a treatment based on that cause.
